ANALISIS INFORMASI ANATOMI MENGGUNAKAN SENSE SEQUENCE T2 TURBO SPIN ECHO IRISAN SAGITAL PADA ANKLE JOINT DENGAN KLINIS RUPTUR
ANALYSIS OF ANATOMICAL INFORMATION USING A T2 TURBO SPIN ECHO SENSE SEQUENCE WITH SAGITAL SLICES OF THE ANKLE JOINT IN CLINICALLY DIAGNOSED RUPTURErnrnV Chapters + 73 Pages + 17 Figures + 3 Tables + 16 AppendicesrnrnBackground: Clinically, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an imaging modality widely used in the evaluation of musculoskeletal disorders because it provides an excellent anatomical detail and high soft-tissue contrast without the use of ionizing radiation. T2 Turbo Spin Echo (T2 TSE) sequence is particularly useful for assessing any tendon and ligament structures, especially the Achilles tendon.rnIn relation to which, the parallel imaging technique Sensitivity Encoding (SENSE) was consequently developed to accelerate an acquisition time without significantly compromising an image quality, although it may affect the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). In clinical practice, the use of SENSE in ankle joint MRI examinations has not been routinely implemented. Therefore, this research aims to analyse the sharpness of anatomical information in ankle joint MRI with clinical rupture by comparing the use of SENSE and non-SENSE techniques in sagital T2 Turbo Spin Echo sequences.rnResearch Design: This research applied a descriptive comparative method with an experimental approach and qualitative data analysis. As for the data, they were obtained through interview results discussing two different treatment conditions.rnResearch Results: Sagital T2 Turbo Spin Echo (TSE) sequences, both with and without SENSE, were able to demonstrate adequate anatomical sharpness of the ankle joint for diagnostic assessment in clinical cases of rupture. However, the use of SENSE was more advantageous due to shorter scanning time and reduced artifacts, whereas the examinations without SENSE provided higher Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) values but it required longer acquisition times.rnrnKeywords : MRI Ankle Joint, SENSE References : 17 (2019–2024)
