GAMBARAN KONDISI SANITASI DAN TINGKAT KEPADATAN LALAT DI PASAR BABELAN DESA BAHAGIA KOTA KECAMATAN BABELAN KABUPATEN BEKASI TAHUN 2025
Poor market sanitation can lead to an increase in disease-carrying vectors such as flies, which have the potential to transmit environment-related diseases, including diarrhea. Based on preliminary surveys and observations conducted at Babelan Market, Desa Bahagia, Babelan Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, a significant presence of flies was still observed. This condition is caused by the widespread presence of scattered waste, the absence of waste bins, and clogged drainage systems. The purpose of this study is to determine the sanitation conditions and fly density level at Babelan Market in 2025. rnThis research is descriptive with an observational approach. Data were collected through both primary and secondary methods using a sanitation checklist and fly density measurements with a fly grill. The study involved 60 sampling points, including vegetable, meat, chicken, fish, and fruit stalls, as well as temporary waste disposal sites (TPSS). The data were analyzed using checklist scoring and interpretation of fly grill results. rnThe findings revealed that most sanitation facilities did not meet the required standards, such as inadequate waste containers, uncovered wastewater drains, and suboptimal fly control. The fly density level was categorized as moderate 5,35. These conditions may increase the risk of transmitting infectious diseases through food and the surrounding environment. rnLiterature : 30 (2015–2025) Classification : Books : 8 Research Journals : 17 Regulations : 4 Research Methodology : 1
