Penatalaksanaan Pemeriksaan Radiografi Whole Spine dengan Menggunakan Teknik Stitching pada Klinis Skoliosis di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Pasar Rebo
Whole spine radiographic examination for scoliosis cases requires wide image coverage tornenable comprehensive assessment of spinal curvature. In this matter, the stitching techniquernis a digital radiographic method used to combine multiple images into a single, completernimage. This research aims to analyse the management of whole spine radiographicrnexaminations using the stitching technique in scoliosis cases undertaken at Pasar RebornRegional General Hospital.rnThis research applied a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Thernresearch was conducted at Pasar Rebo Regional General Hospital starting from May up tornJune 2025. The population consisted of all patients undergoing whole spine radiographicrnexaminations using the stitching technique for scoliosis cases. The research subjectsrnincluded two individuals as primary data sources and one as a secondary data source, all ofrnwhom underwent whole spine radiographic examinations using the stitching technique forrnscoliosis. Data collection was carried out through direct observation, interviews with twornradiographers and two radiologists, and documentation of radiographic images. Researchrninstruments included among the other things observation sheets, interview guidelines, andrna digital camera. As for data processing and analysis, they were performed by classifyingrnthe data based on type and source, followed by narrative formation and conclusion drawing.rnThe results of the research showed that whole spine examinations were performed usingrnAP erect, lateral erect, and right and left AP bending erect projections, with a source-toimage distance (SID) of 300 cm. The stitching technique was carried out automaticallyrnusing a digital radiography (DR) system, producing a continuous image of the spine fromrnthe cervical vertebrae to the coccyx in a series of image. This technique providedrndiagnostically valuable images for assessing Cobb angles and the degree of scoliosis.rnHowever, the use of the AP projection has a drawback in the form of increased radiationrnexposure to sensitive organs.
