Analisis Kualitas Citra Radiografi Cephalometri dengan Variasi MiliAmpere (mA)
Medically, cephalometric radiography is a type of extraoral radiographic techniquernused to analyse the relationship between the bony structures and soft tissues within thernfacial skeleton. Cephalometric analysis serves various purposes, including studying facialrngrowth, detecting facial deformities, evaluating treatment outcomes, and serving as arnreference in orthodontic treatment planning.rnThe aim of this research is to determine the optimal quality of cephalometricrnradiographic images using an exposure factor of 70 kV combined with varying milliamperernsettings of 6 mA, 10 mA, and 14 mA. This research applied a qualitative method withrndescriptive approach and was conducted at Radiology Department of Pasar Rebo RegionalrnGeneral Hospital starting from April up to May 2025.rnThe population in this research consisted of among the other things cephalometricrnimages obtained using a phantom, with the sample comprising three images produced atrnexposure factors of 70 kV combined with 6 mA, 10 mA, and 14 mA. As for data collection, rnit was performed through a single experiment for each exposure factor. While the researchrninstrument involved image quality assessment using ImageJ software. Image analysis wasrnconducted using evaluation indicators such as Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and Contrastto-Noise Ratio (CNR). Thereafter, the processed image analysis results were then comparedrnacross the data sets and presented in tables.rnThe results of the research indicate that there is a difference in image quality basedrnon variations in milliampere (mA). Using the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and Contrastto-Noise Ratio (CNR) as evaluation indicators, the exposure factor of 70 kV and 6 mArnyielded the highest values, suggesting that this exposure setting is the most optimal amongrnthe three mA variations tested.
