In the current era of the development of the traditional medicine industry, people give high expectations for healing using traditional medicines. For the community, a quick reaction to the disease suffered and an affordable price are important. BKO or Medicinal Chemicals are synthetic chemical compounds or active chemicals that are used as the main ingredients for the manufacture of chemical drugs or in the form of finished products used in medicine by providing a fast acting effect based on the mechanism of action, which is directly on the target of the disease. The addition of BKO has been banned from its use in the traditional drug industry in Indonesia. One of the BKO added examples is Sildenafil Citrate in strong male herbs, Sildenafil Citrate is a therapeutic drug for erectile dysfunction. This test is carried out with the aim of determining the presence or absence of sildenafil citrate content in strong herbs. The method used for identification is KLT-Spectrophotodensitometry. Initial identification using TLC is useful to see the presence or absence of sildenafil citrate compounds in strong herbs by comparing the resulting spots and the calculation of the Rf price. After obtaining the results, herbs that are suspected to be positive in KLT testing are carried out further tests using a Spectrophotodensitometer at a wavelength of 292 nm, the Test Results are compared with the requirements referring to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Number 007 of 2012 concerning Traditional Medicine Registration that traditional medicine is prohibited from containing medicinal chemicals. It can be concluded that the strong herbal medicine samples of the "TG" brand and the "RL" brand are not qualified (TMS).
