Acute abdominal is an abrupt condition of the stomatch and should be immediately, so that the examination does
not require the preparation of the patient. This study aim to discuss the treatment of acute abdominal radiography
screening and explain the results of the image in the upright thorax examination technique. This study was
conducted at Ciamis Hospital in January to May 2020 with the subject of study of 3 position abdominal
examination patients, using a qualitative method of case studies with use of observation. The methods of collecting
data on this research are observations, interviews and library studies. From the results of this research can be
concluded that the acute abdominal radiography screening in Ciamis Hospital uses 3 projections consisting of the
abdominal of Antero Posterior (AP) supine, Left Lateral Decubitus (LLD), and upright thorax. The reason for the
thorax photo is to look at the free air and thorax photos also as screening for the patient in preparation if the
surgery is going.
