EXAMINATION TECHNIQUE OF THORAX CT SCAN WITH CONTRAST IN LUNG CANCER CASE AT TANGERANG DISTRICT GENERAL HOSPITAL YEAR OF 2020

This research aims to analyze the procedure as well as identify the advantages and disadvantages of chest CT-Scan technique with contrast in lung cancer cases at Tangerang District General Hospital
The design of this research is qualitative descriptive with observation as the data collection method, which is conducted in March 2020 at Tangerang District General Hospital. The population of this research was taken by all thorax CT-Scan examination and the sample was thorax CT-Scan patients who came to Department of Radiology Tangerang District General Hospital with clinical of lung cancer. The instrument used in this study was worksheet. The processed data was presented in tabulation and the analysis was done by comparing the observation result with theory.
The conclusion of this research is the thorax CT-Scan with contrast media can be used to diagnose patients who have clinical of lung cancer. The thorax CT-Scan can be done without using contrast media, but thorax CT-Scan with contrast provides more information so that radiologist can establish the diagnose accurately.
The disadvantage of this examination technique it costs more than the one without contrast that has been established by Tangerang District General Hospital, and there is a possibility of contraindication risk experienced by patient.
