ANALISIS SONOPATTERN KANDUNG EMPEDU PUASA 6 JAM DENGAN PUASA 8 JAM
Research Background: In clinical practice, gallbladder ultrasonography is highly \r\ninfluenced by fasting status. Accordingly, numerous studies have demonstrated that \r\nadequate fasting plays a crucial role in optimizing ultrasound image quality and \r\nvisualization. Nevertheless, excessively prolonged fasting may lead to patient discomfort, \r\nincrease the risk of hypoglycaemia in diabetic patients, and disrupt workflow efficiency \r\nwithin hospital radiology services.\r\nResearch Objective: This research aims to evaluate the differences in gallbladder \r\nsonographic patterns between 6-hour fasting and 8-hour fasting conditions.\r\nResearch Methods: This research employed a qualitative method with an analytical \r\nobservational approach. The research was conducted at Health Polytechnic of Ministry of \r\nHealth Jakarta II over a two-month period, from December 2025 to January 2026. A total \r\nof 12 samples were purposely selected, comprising examinations performed after 6-hour \r\nfasting and 8-hour fasting.\r\nResearch Results: As a result, the findings of this research indicate that a 6-hour fasting \r\nduration is both evidently more effective and efficient for gallbladder ultrasonography. \r\nThis duration was shown to produce sonographic patterns comparable to those obtained \r\nafter 8 hours of fasting, without compromising diagnostic quality. Moreover, 6-hour \r\nfasting period offers additional advantages in terms of the patient comfort and improved \r\nefficiency of radiology services.
