PENATALAKSANAAN PEMERIKSAAN RADIOGRAFI THORACOLUMBAL DENGAN KLINIS SKOLIOSIS IDIOPATIK PADA REMAJA
RADIOLOGY DIPLOMA III STUDY PROGRAM \r\nRADIODIAGNOSTICS AND RADIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT \r\nHEALTH POLYTECHNIC OF HEALTH MINISTRY \r\nJAKARTA II \r\nSCIENTIFIC PAPER, 2026 \r\nJAHWA ANDRIANI AYATI (P.2.11.40.2.23.032) \r\nMANAGEMENT OF THORACOLUMBAR RADIOGRAPHIC EXAMINATION \r\nIN ADOLESCENTS WITH CLINICAL IDIOPATHIC SCOLIOSIS \r\nV Chapters + 47 Pages + 33 Figures + 3 Tables + 23 Appendices \r\nThoracolumbar spine radiographic examination in the patients with idiopathic scoliosis \r\nis performed to evaluate spinal morphology and the degree of spinal curvature. This \r\nexamination includes several radiographic projections that facilitate comprehensive \r\nassessment of spinal alignment and deformity. This research aimed to describe the \r\nradiographic examination procedure for the thoracolumbar spine and evaluate the \r\nradiographic findings in adolescents with idiopathic scoliosis undertaken at Radiology \r\nDepartment of Koja Regional General Hospital. \r\nThis research applied a qualitative descriptive method using a case study approach. As \r\nfor the data, they were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation \r\ninvolving five adolescent patients aged 10–18 years who underwent thoracolumbar spine \r\nradiographic examinations for idiopathic scoliosis conducted at Koja Regional General \r\nHospital. \r\nThe result of this research indicated that the examination was performed using a digital \r\nX-ray system. The patients were required only to remove objects that could interfere with \r\nimage quality. The radiographic projections used included erect anteroposterior (AP), \r\nlateral, right bending, left bending, and erect pelvis views. Accordingly, the examination \r\nresults demonstrated spinal morphology and the direction of spinal curvature, and assisted \r\nphysicians in determining the patient\'s scoliosis condition. \r\nIn conclusion, the radiographic examination of the thoracolumbar spine in adolescents \r\nwith idiopathic scoliosis involves several projection techniques to provide a comprehensive \r\nevaluation of spinal curvature and alignment. The resulting radiographic images can \r\ndemonstrate the shape of the spine, the direction of curvature, and support physicians in \r\nassessing the severity and condition of scoliosis. \r\nKeywords : Thoracolumbar Radiography, Idiopathic Scoliosis, X-ray.
