ABSTRACT\r\nDIPLOMA 3 RADIOLOGY STUDY PROGRAM DEPARTMENT OF RADIODIAGNOSTIC AND RADIOTHERAPY TECHNOLOGY\r\nSCIENTIFIC PAPER, 2026\r\nAFWA KAROMATUL MAGFIRAH (P.2.11.40.2.23.004)\r\nEVALUATION OF FISTULOGRAPHY EXAMINATION MANAGEMENT IN THE CASES OF ANAL FISTULA AT TANGERANG REGENCY REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL\r\nV Chapters, 48 Pages, 28 Figures, 3 Tables, 12 Appendices\r\n In clinical practice, Fistulography examinations, according to standard literature, are generally performed using anteroposterior (AP), lateral, and oblique projections. However, based on preliminary observation undertaken at Tangerang Regency Regional General Hospital, fistulography examinations are only performed using posteroanterior (PA) and lateral projections. In relation to which, this research aimed to evaluate the management of fistulography examinations in the cases of anal fistula carried out at Tangerang Regency Regional General Hospital, including the patient preparation, the use of contrast media, contrast administration technique, and radiographic projections employed.\r\n This research aimed to evaluate the radiographic findings of fistulography in the cases of anal fistula and to identify the patient preparation procedures, including equipment preparation and contrast media usage.\r\n This research applied a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. As for the data, they were collected through among the other things observation, interviews, and documentation involving five patients who underwent fistulography examinations conducted at Radiology Department of Tangerang Regency Regional General Hospital.\r\n This research indicated that fistulography examinations were performed using a fluoroscopy system with water-soluble contrast media administered via a winged needle. The projections used were limited to posteroanterior (PA) and lateral views. The examination results were able to demonstrate the fistulous tract and support diagnosis; however, the procedure was not fully in accordance with standard literature, as anteroposterior (AP) and oblique projections were not utilized.\r\n Fistulography examinations in the cases of anal fistula conducted at Tangerang Regency Regional General Hospital were performed using water-soluble contrast media with posteroanterior (PA) and lateral projections. The radiographic results were able to clearly demonstrate the fistulous tract and support diagnosis; however, the examination procedure was not fully in accordance with standard literature due to the absence of anteroposterior (AP) and oblique projections.\r\nKeywords : Fistulography; Anal fistula; Fluoroscopy; Contrast media; Radiography
