STUDI DESKRIPTIF PENYELENGGARAAN PASAR SEHAT DITINJAU DARI SEGI SANITASI DI PD PASAR JAYA PONDOK LABU, JAKARTA SELATAN TAHUN 2025

The market is one of the most frequently visited public places by the community.\r\nSanitation in public places must meet health requirements in order to protect,\r\nmaintain, and improve the public health status.\r\nThis research uses a descriptive method with the title “Descriptive Study on the\r\nImplementation of a Healthy Market in Terms of Sanitation at PD Pasar Jaya\r\nPondok Labu, South Jakarta, in 2025.” The objective of this study is to determine\r\nthe implementation of a healthy market in terms of sanitation at PD Pasar Jaya\r\nPondok Labu, South Jakarta, in 2025.\r\nThe population in this study includes the provision of water for hygiene and\r\nsanitation needs, toilets, waste management, wastewater drainage systems,\r\nhandwashing facilities, vector control, and market disinfection at PD Pasar Jaya\r\nPondok Labu, South Jakarta, in 2025. The sample in this study consists of sanitation\r\naspects, including the provision of water for hygiene and sanitation needs (water\r\nfrom toilet faucets), 12 toilets, 1 temporary waste storage (TPS), 2 waste transport\r\ntools (trash trolleys), wastewater drainage channels, handwashing facilities, vector\r\ncontrol (Aedes mosquito larvae-free index and fly population index), and market\r\ndisinfection at PD Pasar Jaya Pondok Labu, South Jakarta, in 2025.\r\nBased on the research results, the variable for water provision for hygiene and\r\nsanitation needs was 100% compliant with requirements, toilets were 100%\r\ncompliant, waste management was 50% non-compliant, wastewater drainage was\r\n75% compliant, handwashing facilities were 100% non-compliant, vector control\r\nwas 60% non-compliant, and market disinfection was 100% non-compliant.\r\nAccording to the Ministry of Health Regulation Number 17 of 2020 concerning\r\nHealthy Markets, PD Pasar Jaya Pondok Labu achieved a compliance percentage of\r\n74.4%, which is categorized as a healthy market.\r\nThe conclusion of this study is that the market is categorized as a Healthy Market.\r\nThe author recommends that the market management provide medium-sized covered\r\ntrash bins in each stall area, install handwashing facilities at every market entrance,\r\nclean the wastewater drainage channels, and carry out routine market disinfection.
