In this context, the quality of cervical MRI images is strongly influenced by the choice of coil as the signal receiver, particularly in sagittal T1 Turbo Spin Echo (TSE) sequences. In the Radiology Department of PMI Hospital Bogor, two types of coils are available for use, namely the neurovascular coil and the spine coil; however, coil selection is still primarily based on the routine practice and patient condition. Therefore, an analysis is certainly required to evaluate the differences in the quality of anatomical image information produced by these two types of coils.rnResearch Objective: This research aims to analyse the quality of anatomical image information in cervical MRI on sagittal T1 Turbo Spin Echo (TSE) sequences using neurovascular and spine coils in Radiology Department of PMI Hospital Bogor.rnResearch Design: This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with an observational approach. As for the study sample, it consisted of 10 patients who underwent cervical MRI examinations using a 1.5 Tesla MRI system. While image quality assessment included among the other things anatomical detail, contrast, and artifacts, and was conducted by two radiographers and one radiology specialist using a questionnaire. Subsequently, data were then analysed using the non-parametric Wilcoxon statistical test with the assistance of SPSS software.rnResults: As the result, this research demonstrated that the use of the neurovascular coil produced much greater anatomical image quality and contrast, as well as a lower level of artifacts, compared to the spine coil in sagittal T1 TSE cervical MRI sequences. Meanwhile, Wilcoxon statistical analysis revealed that the differences in anatomical quality, contrast, and artifacts between the two coil types were statistically significant, with p-values 0.05.rnrnKeywords : Cervical MRI, Sagittal T1 TSE, Neurovascular Coil, Spine Coil, Image QualityrnReferences : 27 references (2010–2025)rnrnTranslated by:rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnSuhendar, S.S., M.Pd.rnEnglish Lecturer
