In this context, the bolus tracking technique for contrast injection can optimize scan rntiming, which is influenced by several factors such as the patient body weight and the contrast rnvolume. However, repeated monitoring scans during the bolus tracking technique may increase the rnpatient’s radiation dose. rnResearch Objective: This research aims to analyse the CTDIvol dose during monitoring scans in rnthe patients weighing 44–48 kg with a contrast volume of 70 mL and the patients weighing 51–55 rnkg with a contrast volume of 80 mL using the bolus tracking technique in multiphase upper rnabdominal CT examinations. rnResearch Methods: This research applied a qualitative method with descriptive approach. As for rnthe research, it was undertaken at Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, with the rncollection of primary and secondary data from 20 patients who met the inclusion criteria between rnJanuary and October 2025. Meanwhile, interviews were conducted to obtain additional supporting rndata. The collected data were subsequently analysed and described in depth. rnResearch Results: As the result, this research showed that the patients weighing 44–48 kg who rnreceived a contrast volume of 70 mL with a monitoring scan time of 8.4 seconds had an average rnCTDIvol monitoring dose of 6.83 mGy. In comparison, the patients weighing 51–55 kg who rnreceived a contrast volume of 80 mL with a monitoring scan time of 14 seconds had an average rnCTDIvol monitoring dose of 10.91 mGy. rnrnKeywords : Multiphase Abdominal CT; Bolus Tracking Technique; CTDIvol Monitoring
