ANALISIS TEKNIK PEMERIKSAAN ABDOMEN PROYEKSI AP DENGAN KLINIS CORPUS ALIENUM DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RSIJ PONDOK KOPI
In medical diagnostics, foreign bodies (corpus alienum) are defined as the objects availablernwithin the body that may interfere with normal organ function. In relation to which, rnabdominal radiography is a key diagnostic tool for detecting such foreign bodies, rnparticularly when using the Anteroposterior (AP) projection. This research aims to analysernthe procedures and techniques involved in performing abdominal radiography with APrnprojection in the patients clinically suspected of having a foreign body undertaken atrnRadiology Department of Jakarta Islamic Hospital (RS Islam Jakarta) Pondok Kopi. Thisrnresearch uses a qualitative method with descriptive approach involving among the otherrnthings direct observation, interviews with radiographers and radiologists, as well as arnreview of the relevant documentation. The results of the research indicate that thernexamination was performed using only the Anteroposterior (AP) projection with ComputedrnRadiography (CR) equipment, without the addition of a lateral projection. While the APrnprojection is useful in identifying any foreign bodies, it does not provide three-dimensionalrnvisualization. Therefore, the use of additional projections such as the lateral view isrnrecommended in order to obtain more accurate spatial information. This research isrnexpected to serve as a reference for improving the quality of abdominal radiographicrnexaminations, particularly in the cases involving any foreign bodies.
