TEKNIK PEMERIKSAAN OSSA PEDIS DENGAN PROYEKSI LATERAL ERECT PADA PASIEN DENGAN KLINIS PLANAR FASCITIS DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI CIPUTRA HOSPITAL CITRA GARDEN CITY
From an epidemiological perspective, plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of thernplantar fascia that causes heel pain. In relation to which, radiological examination of thernossa pedis, particularly using the lateral erect projection, is really important in assisting therndiagnosis. This research discusses the examination technique in detail. The objective of thisrnresearch is to evaluate the procedure for imaging the ossa pedis in the patients with arnclinical diagnosis of plantar fasciitis undertaken at Radiology Department of CiputrarnHospital Citra Garden City. Furthermore, by applying a qualitative descriptive method andrna case study approach, foot (pedis) radiographic examinations for the patients with plantarrnfasciitis carried out at Ciputra Hospital were accordingly performed using AP, oblique, andrnan additional lateral erect projection. In this matter, the lateral erect projection offersrnadvantages as it can reveal the presence of a heel spur and demonstrate the arch of the footrnwhile bearing body weight, thereby providing a more accurate representation of thernpatients actual condition. However, one limitation of this technique is that not all patientsrnare able to stand steadily, particularly the elderly or those experiencing significant pain.rnThe lateral erect projection is performed with the patient standing in order to assess therncondition of the foot under weight-bearing conditions. This technique is considerablyrneffective in detecting both heel spurs and foot arch deformities associated with plantarrnfasciitis. While the image quality is adequate, the procedure can be challenging for thernpatients who are in pain or unable to stand for the extended periods.rnKeywords References : Pedis, Plantar Fasciitis, Lateral Erect, Heel Spurrn: 1 Textbook, 25 Journals (2006–2024)
