Analisis Dosis Organ Berisiko Pada Penyinaran Kasus Metastases Tulang Pelvis Antara Teknik 3 Dimensional Conformal Radiation Therapy dan Teknik Half Beam Block di Departemen Radioterapi MRCCC Siloam Hospital Semanggi
Metastases are the spread of cancer cells that come from their origin place to another place or go to another part of the body through lymph’s flow. In Indonesia, based from Dharmais Cancer Hospital’s data, 47 metastases bone patients in 2005 and 133 patients in 2006 was found.
This research aims to analyze the dose of risky organs around the pelvic bone that received in pelvic bone metastases by using 3D-CRT and HBB techniques. The design of this research is quantitative by experimental approach.
The research was conducted in February 2018, by using 2017’s population of patients with pelvic bone metastases data with 10 male patients of pelvic bone metastases data as a sample . The instruments that used are External Beam Planning Eclipse software, patient’s secondary data, worksheets and DVH. The planning of 3D-CRT irradiation technique and HBB irradiation technique in Treatment Planning System will be used from the obtained data. The data were analyzed by using T-Test Paired Samples and Wilcoxon test with SPSS.
The result of this research is that some risky organs, those are bladder, prostate and rectum receive lower radiation dose by using HBB technique. While penile bulb and small bowel organs receive lower radiation doses by using 3D-CRT technique.
The conclusion is HBB technique is better to used to expose the metastases pelvic bone because the radiotherapy principle can be achieved.
