PENGARUH EDUKASI PERSIAPAN PASIEN TERHADAP KUALITAS TRACKING PADA PEMERIKSAAN CT SCAN UROGRAFI NON KONTRAS DI DEPARTEMEN RADIOLOGI RSUP FATMAWATI
In medical imaging, non-contrast CT urography is an imaging examination used to visualize the ureters without the use of contrast agents. The image quality of a CT urography examination depends on the quality of ureteral tracking, which is influenced by the patients preparation prior to the procedure. For this reason, effective patient education is expected to improve the patient readiness, thereby it can enhance the quality of tracking.rnThis research aims to analyse and evaluate the patients’ understanding before and after undergoing non-contrast CT urography, as well as to assess the tracking results in relation to the effectiveness of the patient education.rnThis research applies a descriptive qualitative method using a case study approach, involving among the other things direct observation, questionnaires, scoring by radiographers, and interviews with radiographers. The tracking quality scores were analysed using a 4-point Likert scale to compare the average scores between the patients who received education and those who did not. The analysis was conducted to evaluate the effect of the patient education on preparation and on the tracking quality in non-contrast CT urography examinations. As for the research subjects, they were the patients undergoing non-contrast CT urography conducted at Fatmawati Central General Hospital during the month of May.rnThe researcher conducted observations on the patients undergoing non-contrast CT urography by providing education and administering questionnaires. The questionnaire results showed that the comprehension score of the patients who received education was 0.802, while those who did not receive education scored 0.31. These data indicate that the level of understanding among the patients who received education was significantly higher than that of the patients who did not. The success of the education in relation to tracking quality was assessed by radiographers using a Likert scale. The results showed that the educated patients fell into the “very good” category, while uneducated patients were categorized as “fair.” In addition, interviews with radiographers regarding tracking quality concluded that optimal patient preparation significantly affects the quality of tracking.rnKeywords : Education, Tracking Quality, CT Urography
