Research Background: Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix caused by obstruction. One of the radiological examinations used to evaluate the digestive system specifically the appendix is the appendicogram. An appendicogram is a radiological diagnostic procedure that uses positive contrast media to visualize abnormalities of the appendix.rnResearch Objective: This research aims to describe the procedural steps involved in performing an appendicogram in the cases of clinically suspected appendicitis and to evaluate the diagnostic information obtained from the radiographic images produced during the examination.rnResearch Method: This research applies a qualitative descriptive method with case study approach, conducted through among the other things observation and interviews to obtain research data. As for the research, it was carried out starting from March up to May 2025, with the research subjects namely the patients undergoing appendicogram examinations with clinical signs of appendicitis undertaken at Depok City Regional General Hospital (RSUD Kota Depok).rnResearch Results: The appendicogram examination requires minimal preparation. The patients are instructed to avoid consuming foods that stimulate bowel movements. They are advised to refrain from defecating for 8 to 12 hours after ingesting barium sulphate, with a viscosity ratio of 1:1.25 for adults and 1:1.6 for paediatric patients. Following this, the patients are instructed to limit talking and physical activity. Radiographic imaging is then performed using AP, RPO, LPO, and PA prone projections.rnKeywords : Appendicitis, Appendix, Appendicogram
