ANALISIS PEMERIKSAAN RADIOGRAFI THORAX PASIEN TUBERKULOSIS MULTIDRUG RESISTANT
Diagnostically, thorax radiography is a commonly used imaging modality for detecting pulmonary diseases, including tuberculosis. In this matter, if treatment is not properly administered, tuberculosis can progress to Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB), which is significantly more challenging to manage. In response, accurate thorax radiographic examination plays a crucial role in evaluating the patients condition and supporting the diagnostic process.rnThis research aims to analyse the thorax radiographic examination procedures in the patients with Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and to identify the factors affecting image quality.rnThis research applied a qualitative method with descriptive approach using secondary data from Radiology Department of Pasar Rebo Regional General Hospital (RSUD Pasar Rebo). As for the data, they were collected from five patient samples starting from April up to May 2025. While the analysis focused on the examination procedures as well as the assessment of image quality based on questionnaires and evaluation scores.rnAll examinations were performed using the Posteroanterior (PA) projection, with the patient in a standing position and maximal inspiration. The average exposure factors were 110–120 kVp and 2–5 mAs. Image quality assessment showed two samples rated as excellent, two as good, and one as fair. Factors affecting image quality included exposure technique, patient positioning, and the patient’s inspiratory capacity during the examination.rnThorax radiography in the patients with Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis was performed using the PA projection, with the patient in a standing position and exposure factors of 124.9 kVp and 1–2 mAs. Image quality was greatly influenced by image sharpness, contrast, clavicular symmetry, patient inspiratory effort, and visualization of vertebral structures. Although there was some variation in quality scores, the images produced were generally adequate for diagnostic interpretation.rnKeywords : Thorax, Tuberculosis, Image Quality.
