ANALISIS PENGULANGAN CITRA (REPEAT) DALAM PEMERIKSAAN RADIOGRAFI DENTAL DENGAN DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHY
Radiographically, repeat analysis is a systematic process that records all repeated images and analyses their causes in order to reduce or eliminate image repetition and minimize the radiation dose received by the patients. This research aims to analyse the factors contributing to image repetition in dental radiographic examinations using digital radiography based on photostimulable phosphor (PSP) systems, as well as to identify the primary causes of these repetitions. The research was conducted at Radiology Department of Hospital X in May 2025 using a qualitative method with descriptive approach. As for the data, they were collected through among the other things literature review, direct observation, and documentation of dental radiographic examinations carried out between November 2024 and April 2025. The research population included all dental radiographic examination results within the specified period. The sample consisted of examination data that met the inclusion criteria, specifically those involving image repetition along with the information regarding the causes. While, the instruments used in this research included among the other things observation worksheets and visual documentation. Data analysis was carried out by categorizing the causes of image repetition and calculating the frequency percentage of each contributing factor. Results of this research indicate that the primary cause of image retakes in digital dental radiography is the positioning errors, accounting for 181 cases (69.6%), followed by angulation technique errors with 53 cases (20.3%). Other contributing factors include artifacts (6.1%), exposure factor errors (2.3%), and patient movement (1.5%). The conclusion of this reseach is that positioning and angulation technique errors are the two dominant factors leading to image retakes in digital dental radiographic examinations. rnrnKeywords : Dental Radiography, Repeat, Digital Radiography, Positioning Error, Angulation Technique Error rnrnReferences : 29 sources (2006–2024)
