ANALISIS KUALITAS CITRA DENGAN PENGHITUNGAN CNR DAN SNR MENGGUNAKAN SOFTWARE IMAGE-J PADA TEKNIK PEMERIKSAAN ARTICULATIO LUMBOSACRAL\r\nDI RSIJ CEMPAKA PUTIH
In medical imaging practice, the quality of radiographic imaging plays a vital role in achieving accurate diagnostic outcomes, particularly in the evaluation of the lumbosacral joint, which presents complex anatomical features. This research aims to assess the image quality of lumbosacral joint radiographs by calculating the Contrast-to-Noise Ratio (CNR) and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) using ImageJ software. This research applies a qualitative method with descriptive approach and observational methodology was deliberately employed, focusing on two standard radiographic projections namely Anteroposterior (AP) and Lateral. As for the research, it involved 15 patient samples with the variations in gender, age range, and Body Mass Index (BMI).rnCNR and SNR values were obtained by placing Regions of Interest (ROIs) on the L5 vertebral body and adjacent background areas. The findings indicated that the highest image quality was achieved in the patients within the adult age group (41–60 years) and those with a normal Body Mass Index (BMI), particularly in the lateral projection. Conversely, the lowest CNR and SNR values were observed in the elderly patients and individuals with obesity, leading to decreased image sharpness and overall clarity. In general, lateral projections demonstrated more optimal image quality compared to that of anteroposterior (AP) projections.rnConclusion of this research suggests that radiographic images in lumbosacral joint examinations is significantly influenced by patient-specific factors such as age, gender, and Body Mass Index (BMI), as well as the radiographic projection technique used. These variables directly affect the sharpness, clarity, and visibility of anatomical structures, thereby impacting the diagnostic value of the radiographic images.
