ANALISIS KORELASI STATUS HIDRASI TERHADAP GAMBARAN ULTRASONOGRAFI GINJAL

Anatomically, kidneys play a very important role in maintaining the bodys fluid balance, and in relation to which, impaired hydration status can affect their structure which can be observed through ultrasonographic (USG) imaging.rnThis research aims to analyze the correlation between hydration status and renal sonopatterns observed through ultrasonographic examination.rnThis research applied an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 30 students selected through purposive sampling. As for the research, it was undertaken at Ultrasonography Laboratory of Poltekkes Jakarta II, and the data were then analysed using the Chi-Square test.rnResults of Research:This research found that 76.7% of participants had low to severely low hydration status. All participants with severely low hydration exhibited increased renal parenchymal echogenicity, which was also observed in some individuals with low hydration. Among all assessed parameters, only renal echogenicity showed a significant correlation with hydration status, with a p-value of 0.000 for the right kidney and 0.004 for the left kidney.rnKeywords : Hydration Status, Renal Ultrasound, PURI Method
