EVALUASI NILAI DIAGNOSTIK REFERENCE LEVEL (DRL) PADA CT SCAN UROGRAFI NON KONTRAS DI RSUD BUDHI ASIH
Diagnostically, Non-contrast CT urography is the diagnostic standard for evaluating the urinary tract. With the increasing demand for CT urography examinations, the need for optimal image quality and appropriate radiation dose has become increasingly important. Therefore, efforts to optimize radiation protection in CT urography examinations are essential. In relation to which, as part of radiation protection optimization effort, it is necessary to establish and calculate Diagnostic Reference Levels (DRLs) for CT urography examinations.
This research aims to evaluate the results of Diagnostic Reference Level (DRL) calculations based on the CT dose index volume (CTDIvol) and dose length product (DLP) in patients undergoing non-contrast CT urography examinations.
Research design used applies a descriptive quantitative design with an observational approach. The research was conducted starting from November up to December 2024, with a purposive sampling of 80 data points based on specific criteria. Thereafter, the collected data were processed using Microsoft Excel, and the calculated CTDIvol and the DLP values were compared to the Indonesian Diagnostic Reference Level (I-DRL) standards.
Results of research indicate that the Diagnostic Reference Level (DRL) values for non-contrast CT urography examinations carried out at Radiology Department of Budhi Asih Regional General Hospital are below the Indonesian Diagnostic Reference Level (I-DRL) established by Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency of Indonesia (BAPETEN). This finding suggests that the radiation dose in Budhi Asih Hospital remains within safe limits. Hence, the DRL values for non-contrast CT urography can be accordingly established namely CTDIvol is 5.5775 mGy and DLP is 302.4925 mGy·cm
