Background: In the Radiology Installation of Dharmais Hospital, West Jakarta, the examination
of Transthoracal Biopsy (TTB/TTNA) method for lung cancer or tumor cases is carried out
procedurally using CT Scan Thorax and with contrast media to confirm the presence of cancer.
From the observation before the research was conducted, the examination process began with CT
Scan Thorax using contrast, so that it could be reviewed further in determining the stage of cancer
so that there was no repetition of CT Scan Thorax examination. This study aims to determine the
CT Scan Thorax examination technique in lung cancer cases with TTB/TTNA implementation.
Research Method: This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach
with retrospentive data. Data were taken in October - December 2024 at the Radiology Installation
of Dharmais Hospital, West Jakarta with a purposive sampling method of 10 people with clinical
lung cancer. Data collection in this study included observation, interview and documentation to
obtain information about CT scan thorax technique in lung cancer cases with TTB/TTNA method.
Results: TTB/TTNA examination for cancer cases at the Radiology Installation of Dharmais
Hospital, West Jakarta, begins with a CT scan of the thorax with contrast, which is then followed
by the TTB method. This examination technique provides high accuracy in biopsy selection, thus
helping doctors in determining further diagnosis more precisely.
