Diagnostically, Computed Tomography (CT) is a diagnostic tool that uses X-rays to produce crosssectional images of the body. These images are obtained based on the absorption levels of X-rays
through body slices and are then displayed on a computer screen. The objective of this research is
to analyse the technique of Abdominal Computed Tomography (CT) Angiography following
Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm cases carried out at
Meuraxa Regional General Hospital, Banda Aceh City.
As for the population in this research, it consists of the patients undergoing abdominal CT scan
examinations, while the sample includes the patients who underwent abdominal CT angiography
with a diagnosis of abdominal aortic aneurysm. The research instruments used were observation
and interviews. Data processing and analysis were carried out through data reconstruction, data
presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of the research indicate that the post-EVAR CT Angiography technique involves the
procedures that include among the other things patient preparation, exposure parameters, contrast
media usage, and image processing using multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) for optimal vascular
anatomy visualization. In addition, key factors in this examination include the selection of the
examination protocol, patient positioning, and technical parameters such as slice thickness and
noise levels. This research contributes to the development of abdominal CT Angiography
procedures as a safer and more efficient diagnostic method, as well as enhancing the quality of
radiology services in hospitals.
