Purposefully, this research aims to describe the examination technique and image quality (contrast,
noise, and detail) in non-contrast abdominal CT scan examinations for clinical cases of kidney
stones.
This research applies a quantitative design with a descriptive method undertaken at Radiology
Department of Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Regional General Hospital, Aceh, starting from
December 2024 up to January 2025. Furthermore, the research population consists of non-contrast
abdominal CT scan examination techniques for clinical cases of kidney stones carried out in
Radiology Department of Cut Nyak Dhien Regional General Hospital, Meulaboh Aceh. The
sample was obtained using secondary data, with a total of 6 participants included in the research.
As for the data collection, it was performed through experimental observation. The instruments
used include among the other things documentation tools for capturing and storing images,
observation sheets, interview guides, measurement sheets, and evaluation sheets.
Thereafter, the collected data were processed by compiling various references into a single
document related to the research, which was accordingly classified, and analysed by evaluating the
gathered data. This process aimed to produce a well-structured and meaningful document that can
serve as a reference.
The results of this research describe the techniques used in non-contrast abdominal CT scans for
clinical cases of kidney stones at Cut Nyak Dhien Meulaboh Regional General Hospital. These
techniques include among the other things patient preparation, examination procedures, equipment
preparation, and film printing.
Additionally, the study provides information on the image quality of non-contrast abdominal CT
scans, focusing on anatomical structures, noise, contrast, and artifacts
