Background of Research: diagnostically, this research focuses on the non-contrast MSCT
urology examination for diagnosing kidney stones. Kidney stones are solid masses formed from
precipitated urineary crystals, commonly found in the urineary tract. The examination incorporates
additional techniques and 3D imaging.
This research aims to analyse and explain the role of black tea infusion in enhancing the diagnostic
accuracy of non-contrast MSCT urology examinations for kidney stone cases.
Design of Research: this research applies a qualitative method with descriptive approach with
data collection including among the other things observation, interviews, and documentation. This
research was conducted starting from October up to November 2024 undertaken at Dr. Zainoel
Abidin General Hospital. The sample consists of one patient undergoing a non-contrast MSCT
urology examination for kidney stones.
Results of Research: in conclusion, this research reveal that image reconstruction in non-contrast
MSCT urology examinations for kidney stones involves axial, coronal, sagittal slices, and 3D
images. These reconstructions allow for a clear and detailed visualization of the stone's exact
location and shape. In this matter, the use of black tea infusion in this examination proved
effective in filling the urineary bladder, causing ureteral distension, and enhancing image clarity.
This improvement significantly supports accurate diagnosis by the physician.
