Analisis Studi Kasus Metastasis Hepar Soliter Menggunakan Teknik Tiga Dimensi Konformal Radioterapi (3D-CRT) di Rumah Sakit Awal Bros Pekanbaru
Thematically, background of this research explores liver health, specifically the application of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT) for treating solitary liver metastasis conducted at Awal Bros Hospital, Pekanbaru. In relation to which, solitary liver metastasis is a secondary cancer that spreads from a primary cancer in another organ to the liver and is characterized by a solitary or single lesion.
This research aims to analyse the procedures involved in applying 3D-CRT for treating solitary liver metastasis cases. This research adopts a qualitative method with descriptive design approach with the data collected through among the other things observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was undertaken at Radiotherapy Unit of Awal Bros Hospital, Pekanbaru, starting from August up to November 2024.
Results of this research demonstrate that the procedures for implementing Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3D-CRT) in solitary liver metastasis cases conducted at Awal Bros Hospital, Pekanbaru, comprises patient preparation, patient simulation using a CT Simulator, treatment planning which develops a detailed radiation treatment plan using the Treatment Planning System (TPS), verification process ensuring treatment precision through the use of portal film Computed Radiography (CR) and the final step involves administering radiation to the patient using a Linear Accelerator (Linac) machine.
