Studi Deskriptif Pengelolaan Sampah Rumah Tangga di Permukiman Rusun Harum Jakarta Selatan Tahun 2024

Residential Sanitation is all efforts to create a healthy environment by paying attention to the surrounding environment which must be done to protect families from the impact of unhealthy housing and residential environment quality. The residential environment is a place that has the potential to spread all diseases, especially diseases through food, drink, waste, vectors, water and air.

The type of research carried out is descriptive, namely presented in the form of a univariate table with the title "Descriptive Study of Household Waste Management in the Harum Flats Settlement, South Jakarta in 2024". The aim of this research is to find out an overview of the waste management process at the Harum Tebet Flats. The sample in this study consisted of 84 residents, 5 cleaners, and 1 flat manager.

Based on the research results, it is known that waste processing (70.2%) is not separated, the waste generated is 5.1 m3/day, the infrastructure that supports waste management is personal protective equipment (50%), cleaning equipment (100%), and Garbage storage area (50%), trash cart (40%), occupant education (40.5%) high school, occupant knowledge (48.8%) high, occupant attitude (38.1%), occupant actions (45, 2%) good, education of janitors (60%) high school, knowledge of janitors (60%) moderate, attitude of janitors (60%) adequate, and actions of janitors (80%) sufficient.

This researcher came to the conclusion that most of the Waste Management results did not meet the requirements at the time of the research. Waste management is not separate, waste generated is sufficient, facilities and infrastructure do not meet requirements, cleaning equipment meets requirements, temporary waste storage areas do not meet requirements, waste carts do not meet requirements, residents' education is greater than high school. Residents' knowledge is high, residents' attitudes are good, residents' actions are good, janitors' education is greater than high school, janitors' knowledge is moderate, janitors' attitudes are adequate, and janitors' actions are adequate. Advice to the management, residents and cleaning staff is that the management should educate residents and cleaning staff at the Harum Tebet Flats, South Jakarta so that waste management runs well.
