Background of Research: Pathogenically, lung cancer in the broadest sense is namely any
malignant disease of the lungs, including the lungs themselves (primary) and the malignancies that
develop outside the lungs (metastases). In view of that, the high number of lung cancer cases can
be diagnosed by using Virtual Bronchography modality on Thorax CT Scan which can help
detect lung cancer.
Objective of Research: in relation to which, this research aims to analyze the results of the
images and describe the technique of Thoracic CT Scan in lung cancer case using Virtual
Bronchography undertaken at Pondok Indah Hospital, Jakarta.
Design of Research: this research applies a direct observation and monitoring method on site.
Furthermore, processing and analyzing the data in this research uses descriptive analysis approach
by processing qualitative data obtained from the results of among the other things questionnaires,
observations, evaluations and interviews. As for the sample technique used, it is the Non Random
Sampling technique.
Result of Research: this research concludes that examination procedures and techniques and
image analysis results from Thoracic CT Scan examinations in lung cancer case can be
accordingly identified by using Virtual Bronchography.
